As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
--Matthew 24:37-39
by Jack Graham
In the days of Noah, people were evil… pure and simple. They didn’t obey or respect God, and sin saturated society until things became more and more corrupt and God finally said, “Enough!”
Many people wonder what our world today is coming to. Well, as believers in Christ, we don’t have to wonder, because the Bible tells us that this world is coming to the end and ultimately to God’s judgment.
Society is becoming so tolerant of sin and evil that it’s become frightening. People live in fear, wondering whether rogue nations will use chemical or nuclear weapons to fulfill violent and evil intentions.
There doesn’t seem to be a lot of hope as we look out at the world scene. But we need to remember Jesus said that just before He returns, the world will get worse and worse, as it did in the days of Noah. And that's our hope!
Jesus is coming back to set things right in this world and redeem those who are His own.
So don’t be afraid of what may lie ahead for this world. God is in control, and nothing can remove His hand from His own!
AS THE WORLD GETS WORSE, WE HAVE THE HOPE OF JESUS’ SOON RETURN.

That verse always gives me the chills. Makes end times seem very close, doesn't it?
Ann? Where did Jesus say it would get worse and worse right before the end?
Thank you for explainig some things to me, Hobster.
I appreciate it. You are always welcome to straighten me up.
All I can say is, "He who testifies to these things says, 'Surely I am coming soon.' Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!" (Revelation 22.20 ESV)
Hobster, among many for example here:
"But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these."
2 Timothy 3:1-5

uhhhh.
1. You're presuming that Paul's use of "last days" = end of the world.
2. Where does that list say things are getting worse? "men are lovers of themselves more than they used to be" or "unlike now, when men are self-sacrificing, they will be lovers of themselves...".
Matthew 24:12
Hobster,
Your “uhhh” indicates a frustration, but I can assure you that it is a self induced one.
I do now that “last days” does not specifically refer to end of time but rather to the epoch after first coming of our Lord and Savior. Enough about basics…
To answer your question from point number two; you seem to be ignoring a clear cut indication of P R O G R E S S I O N of wickedness of the human kind.
Proof: “But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come” Pay attention to phrase: “ WILL COME” I don’t think I need to convince you that if something IS TO COME that something is not there yet when the statement was made. This sequence in time dear Hobster logically indicates a PROGRESSION in continuality of whatever is coming which in this case is lawlessness and wickedness of men which we can abbreviate in the three letter word: sin.
Brother Even So was kind to point out another one out of many references, indicating a TIME PROGRESSION of lawlessness and wickedness of the human kind:
“Because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold.”
Matthew 24:12
Again: “WILL GROW” a progression from NOW to WILL is clearly evident and nowhere in the Scripture will you find anything indicating a stop to it outside the Second Coming of the Lord.
