Recently yet another myth of the Swedish socialist supremacy was revealed to be completely untrue: the exquisite quality of Swedish public education. "Preliminary" statistics of the current state of Swedish public schooling made available by the Swedish National Agency for Education show the continuing degeneration of the so-called Swedish Model – and that it is ever increasing. After having spent nine mandatory years in school, 11.4% of Swedish children don’t meet the requirements to go to high school."

I briefly was a public school teacher in the United States. Unfortunately I was initially hired by a horrific school in rural Georgia which was so terrible that I vowed never to teach again no matter what. That was well over 20 years ago and I still won't ever go back to teaching. The horror stories I could tell. But suffice to say the incident that was the final straw was when a 14-year-old pulled a knife on me, threatened me and nothing was done about it by school administrators.
I admire and respect teachers tday who manage to stick with the profession in the face of conditions worse than when I taught.
