Nigeria: The life of a convert

In the twilight of the raging discussion about the infamous Chan-video I consider it wise to follow in Campi's steps and mention some down-to-earth problems Christians encounter every day in those less privileged countries of the earth.
We often forget what real persecution and counting the cost means or should mean. John Piper reminded those thoughts saying that Jesus never promised us good, peaceful and comfortable life, but rather trials, hardship and grief. The world hates us, so we better remember it.
Read this story from Nigeria, and think twice about a surfer telling you that God is begging you to accept Him.

Makes you think and reevaluate a lot...
For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake
(Phi 1:29)

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.
(James 1:2-3)
