Religion and Women: Chains That Still Bind ???

This is what I found in terms of the world's view on me and other Sisters in Christ:
an article by Susan Jacoby, elaborate and full of misconceptions and prejudice.
She starts by proudly stating:
As a freethinker and a feminist, I have always found it baffling that women, as a group, are more religious than men. Every public opinion survey reveals this "faith gap" between the sexes, in spite of the fact that the world's major religions have treated women as inferior beings throughout most of human history.
Well, one should be careful when using words like 'always' and 'group'. Not very scientifically, and when they are followed by 'every public opinion survey', without proof, then I get really cautious.
I will not be quoting this further here. You may go there and read it for yourselves. What bothered me most were the comments below the text, most of them hateful towards Christianity, showing zero knowledge and 100% prejudice and ignorance. A very pitiful picture of what people really think and how they reason - on the shallow ground of ideologies, humanism and feminist populism.
The world is the way it is, and we cannot change it by our own forces. What I find (to use the words of the quoted lady) baffling is that the attacks on the Church never stop, they only change their form and source. The enemy is regrouping, shifting strategy, testing new weapons, but never ceasing to assault. Like we would not know... ;)
Look at this comment:
There are plenty of studies that indicate that
Intelligence is Negatively Correlated with
Belief in a personal God.
What do you say now, you stupid Christian? Do you feel smashed and leveled to the ground by the smart atheists? If not, you'd better get used to this kind of treatment. At the least - they express their pity towards us; at the most - we are plain stupid to them.
Should we worry? No. But we have to be aware of what the 'intelligent' women out of faith are saying. And what they think is true.
